Born in Brooklyn, MAPTOTE is a cotton back brand with maps of cities around the world as its name. Launched in 2006 by a couple in Brooklyn, design engineer Michael and stylist Rachel and features unique illustrations and map designs that are hand-painted by Michael on the motifs of cities around the world, including the city of two people and the countries they visit. Fabric is 100% American grown organic cotton. Grown without pesticides, organic cotton is environmentally friendly without soil, water and air. All printing and sewing are done in our Brooklyn, New York studio and made with great attention to detail called Made in Brooklyn. J.
